It’s December and there is nothing like the warm, cozy smell of the holidays. Candles are great but you can get your home smelling festive with an easy winter-scented stovetop potpourri recipe. This whole mix of scents brings a true holiday atmosphere.

Whether it’s for yourself or you are looking for a unique and beautiful DIY Christmas gift, this recipe is sure to impress! (The contents of the jar can be customized to your liking)

Grab a mason jar and fill it with:

  • 118 ml of fresh cranberries
  • 1 orange (sliced)
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon of cloves
  • ⅛ tsp of nutmeg

Instructions:

Bring three cups of water and the jar contents to a simmer over low heat, uncovered in a small pot. Check the water periodically and add more if it starts to get low. Mix the potpourri from time to time to release its aroma and enjoy the scents of Christmas!

If you plan on giving this recipe in a jar as a gift, you can add a bow and Christmas tag! There are so many cute ones online that are free to print.
