After nearly 20 years in the industry, Emma Welsh is still excited by her job every day. She started her career at Tony & Guy where her talents were quickly recognised and she was soon asked to set up the first Toni & Guy nail bar in Topshop’s flagship Oxford Circus store.
Shortly after, she moved into session work when Jenny Frost asked her to do her nails for her upcoming music video and from here on she never looked back. She is regularly requested by stars such as Kate Moss, Kate Beckinsale and Amber Anderson and her editorial clients have included Elle, Harpers Bazaar and Tatler building covers of many a superstar such as Kiera Knightly, Amy Adams, Rebel Wilson and Emma Watson.
Commercially she has built up a client base including M&S, Agent Provocateur, Longchamp, Red or Dead and Revlon.
She has worked with an enviable list of photographers including Bert Stern, Mariano Vivanco, Terry Richardson, Damon Heath, Kal Griffig and Peter Lindbergh.
Along with all this, Emma Welsh even found time to spend 10 months touring with Lady Gaga on her ‘Born This Way’ tour.
